Suggested Travel Dates: Arrive Wednesday Dec 18 and Checkout Sunday Dec 22 (4 nights)
Estimated Costs for Flights + Accommodations (per Adult based on double occupancy for 4 nights): $1,100 USD included taxes and fees.
*This estimate can vary depending on flight costs and the number of people in a room. Also note that the resort is all inclusive so you should not have to spend much once you're in Mexico
2. Where to Stay:
- We've got a room block reserved at Secrets and Dreams Resort. This is also where the wedding is taking place. It's a 5 star, all inclusive resort. Rooms are on a first come first served basis, as we could only hold a limited number of rooms with a discount rate. Please let us know ASAP if you will be staying at the resort via the RSVP.
- For the room block, we secured a 40% discount. Details are as follows:
Dates: 4 Night Room Block. Check in Wednesday December 18 and Check out Sunday December 22.
- Costs: 4 Night Stay will cost $700 USD per person (based on double occupancy including tax and fees). This is a 5 star, all inclusive resort.
- Extended Stays: The minimum required stay is three nights, which include Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Guests have the option to extend their stay by adding up to three additional days prior to Wednesday, December 18th, and still receive the same discounted nightly rate.
- At the time of booking, a credit card will be required; a deposit of 1-night is due at the time of booking. The full balance will be automatically charged 45-days prior to arrival date to the original credit card used when making your reservation.
Maximum occupancy at Secrets in king bedded rooms is 2 adults and in rooms with two beds is 3 adults. Occupancy refers to the number of people in the room.
Maximum occupancy in rooms at Dreams is 3 adults + 1 child or 2 adults + 2 children. Children defined as those from 3 to 12 years of age. Occupancy refers to the number of people in the room.
3. Getting There:
- Guests will need to pay for their own flights to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The closest international airport is PVR (Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport), about 4 miles away from the wedding venue.
- Book your flights ASAP, as prices can go up in time. A return flight is typically ~$450, anything under $400 USD is a great deal. Id recommend checking flights on Google Flights
- Passports are needed to enter Mexico
4. What to Wear:
- Dress code is formal wedding attire for the wedding day.
- It's usually warm and sunny in Puerto Vallarta, but bring a light jacket or wrap for the evening—it can get a bit chilly after sunset.
5. Things to Do:
- There's so much to see and do in Puerto Vallarta! We'll share a list of recommendations and local tips closer to the date.
6. Kids
- While we love your little ones, the wedding day will be an adult-only affair.
7. Health and Safety:
- Get travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and trip cancellations—just to be safe.
- Note that our Room Block comes with cancellation insurance incase of an unpredictable natural event in Puerto Vallarta, but does not apply to personal circumstances that can impact your travel.
